Overview:
BOYSEN Acrytex™ Primer B‑1705 is a solvent-based, thermoplastic acrylic primer formulated to create a seamless, non-porous, and watertight film that provides excellent adhesion and stain-blocking performance. This primer is ideal for preparing new or repaired masonry and wood surfaces for subsequent textured or plain finishes.

Technical Data:
Vehicle Type: Thermoplastic acrylic
Dry Times: Touch – 30 minutes | Recoat – 2 hours (at 25 °C, 50% RH)

Theoretical Coverage: 25–30 m² per 4 L at 40–50 µm dry film thickness
Thinning/Clean-up: Use Acrytex Reducer B‑1750 (~1 L per 4 L for brush or roller)

System & Application Guidelines:
Surface Preparation:
New concrete: Cure 14–28 days, wash and allow to dry.
Wood: Clean, sand smooth, and dust off.
Repaint prep: Strip non-Acrytex coatings, treat chalky surfaces, and dry completely.
Priming:
Apply evenly to all bare or patched areas prior to putty or texture application.
Coating Sequence:
Plain Finish: Prime → Cast B‑1711 putty → Spot-prime → 2+ coats of Acrytex Topcoat.
Textured Finish: Prime → Spray Cast B‑1711 → Flatten texture → Topcoat.
Drying Recommendations:
Ensure minimum 2-hour drying between coats for optimal film integrity.
