Overview:

BOYSEN Acrytex™ Sealer B‑1708 is a solvent-based, thermoplastic acrylic sealer specifically designed for use on bare concrete surfaces in humid and cold climates. It penetrates and stabilizes porous substrates, creating a sealed, uniform base that enhances topcoat performance and durability.

Recommended Applications:

• Vehicle Type: Thermoplastic acrylic

• Dry Times: Touch – 20 minutes | Recoat – 1 hour (at 25 °C, 50% RH)

• Density: ~0.90 kg/L

• Coverage: ~20–25 m² per 4 L at 1.0–0.8 mil dry film thickness (DFT)

• Thinning/Clean-up: Use Acrytex Reducer B‑1750 (approx. 1 L per 4 L paint for brush/roller)

System & Application Guidelines:

1. Surface Preparation:

   • Allow new concrete to cure for 14–28 days; ensure surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants.

   • For repainting, remove loose coatings, treat chalky surfaces, and eliminate mildew.

2. Sealer Application:

   • Apply Sealer B‑1708 directly onto bare substrate for optimal penetration.

3. Coating Sequence (Plain Finish):

   • Sealer → Acrytex Primer B‑1705 → Acrytex Cast B‑1711 putty → spot-prime → 2+ coats of Acrytex Topcoat

4. Coating Sequence (Textured Finish):

   • Sealer → Acrytex Primer B‑1705 → Acrytex Cast B‑1711 sprayed and flattened → 2+ coats of Acrytex Topcoat
