BOYSEN Acrytex™ Textured Acrylic Solvent-based Coating System
Overview:
BOYSEN Acrytex™ is a solvent-based, acrylic coating system formulated to form a seamless, watertight, and highly durable film. It is designed for both exterior and interior masonry and wood surfaces where superior weather resistance and water repellency are essential.

Technical Data:
Coverage: ~15–18 m² per 4 L per coat (textured finish)
Dry Times: Touch – ~30 minutes; Recoat – ~2 hours (at 25 °C, 50% RH)
Application Method: Brush, roller, or spray gun
Available Sheens: Multiple options depending on topcoat
System & Application Guidelines:
Surface Preparation:
For new concrete: Cure for 14–28 days and clean thoroughly
For old surfaces: Remove loose paint; strip non-Acrytex coatings completely
For wood: Smooth sanding and dust removal
Treat mildew with a bleach solution, rinse, and dry
Use Boysen Chalk Blocker on chalky surfaces before priming
Priming:
Apply Acrytex Primer (B-1705) on bare masonry or wood for better adhesion and waterproof base.
Texturing (Optional):
Apply Acrytex Cast (B-1711) using a mortar gun for sprayed texture; flatten with damp roller after 10–15 minutes.
Can also be used as putty for hairline cracks or minor imperfections.
Topcoating:
Apply 2 or more coats of Acrytex Topcoat after proper surface prep and priming.
Ensure overnight drying of previous layers for best performance.
Thinning & Cleanup:
Use Acrytex Reducer (B-1750); approx. 1 L per 4 L of paint for brush/roller application.
Available Colors:
Available in a range of colors depending on the topcoat chosen. Custom shades may be prepared via tinting.
Packaging:
Available in 4-liter and 16-liter cans (for Primer, Cast, Topcoat, and Reducer).
