BOYSEN Acqua Epoxy™ Acrylic Water-based Epoxy Paint
Overview:
A two-component, water-based acrylic epoxy paint formulated for superior chemical, solvent, and stain resistance. Ideal for use on concrete floors and properly primed metal surfaces, it combines easy application with excellent weather durability.
Key Features:
Semi-gloss finish with high gloss retention and UV resistance
Strong abrasion resistance, suitable for foot and light vehicular traffic
Pot life over 8 hours minimizes material waste
Chemical-resistant (tolerates stains, solvents, mild acids and alkalis)
Low-odor, non-flammable, and water-cleanable
Recommended Applications:
Interior and exterior flooring
Metal surfaces once properly primed
Walls and other well-prepared substrates
Technical Data:
VOC: ~10.5 g/L
Density: 1.26 kg/L (paint), 1.05 kg/L (curing agent)
Coverage: 25–30 m² per 4 L at 40–50 µm DFT
Dry Times: Touch – 30 min; Recoat – ~4 hrs (at 25 °C, 50% RH)
System & Application Guidelines:
Surface prep: Clean and degas concrete; degrease and etch metal with appropriate treatment.
Priming (Concrete): 3 parts B‑2200 epoxy primer + 1 part catalyst → 20 min induction → thin 1:1 with B‑55 reducer → apply and let dry overnight.
Priming (Metal): Use B‑2277 epoxy primer; dry for 8 hrs before applying topcoat.
Topcoats: Mix 4 parts Acqua Epoxy™ + 1 part B‑2910 curing agent → 20 min induction → apply 2–3 coats; wait 4+ hrs between coats (ideally overnight).
Final cure: Light traffic after ~3 days; full heavy-duty use after ~7 days.
