Davies® Heat Resisting Aluminum Paint DV-471 is a high-performance, heat-resistant metallic coating specially formulated to withstand continuous exposure to high temperatures up to 400°C. Designed for industrial and residential metal surfaces, this solvent-based aluminum paint forms a durable, reflective, and protective film that resists peeling, discoloration, and corrosion under intense heat.

Its brilliant silver finish provides both thermal protection and an aesthetically appealing metallic look, making it ideal for exhaust systems, chimneys, boilers, furnaces, smokestacks, and other surfaces exposed to high heat.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Thoroughly clean surface to remove rust, grease, oil, dirt, and old paint. For metal, abrasive sanding or wire brushing is recommended to achieve optimal adhesion.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or spray

Thinning:

Use Davies® Paint Thinner if necessary (5–10% depending on method)

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 2–3 hours
• Recoat: 8–12 hours
• Full Cure: 24 hours
  (Allow paint to fully cure before exposing to direct heat)

Coverage:

10–12 square meters per liter per coat (depending on surface and method)

Important Notes:

• Product is not intended for surfaces exposed to open flame
