Overview

Davies® Liquid Penetrating Sealer DV-5-530 Clear is a high-grade, clear, silicone-based sealer specifically designed to protect porous building materials such as concrete, bricks, natural stone, and unglazed tiles. It deeply penetrates into the substrate to form an invisible barrier that repels water, resists efflorescence, and prevents surface degradation caused by moisture and contaminants.

Formulated for both interior and exterior applications, this non-film-forming, breathable sealer maintains the original look of the surface while offering long-term water protection. Ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial projects where moisture protection without surface alteration is required.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure the surface is fully cured, clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance, or other contaminants. Surface must be absorbent. Do not apply to previously coated or sealed surfaces.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer. Apply evenly and allow product to penetrate fully.

Number of Coats:

1–2 coats depending on substrate porosity. Apply second coat wet-on-wet before the first dries completely.

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 30 minutes to 1 hour
• Full Cure: 24 hours
• Allow 24 hours before applying paint or other coatings (if needed)

6–8 square meters per liter per coat (varies based on porosity)
