Davies® Megacryl™ Concrete Primer is a high-quality water-based acrylic primer specially formulated to penetrate and seal porous concrete, masonry, and drywall surfaces. Designed as a preparatory coat for water-based topcoats like Davies® Megacryl™, Fusion™, or other acrylic finishes, it enhances adhesion, evens out surface porosity, and improves the final appearance and durability of paint systems.

With its low odor, fast-drying, and easy-to-apply formula, it’s ideal for both interior and exterior use on new or previously uncoated surfaces. This primer is a vital step to ensure long-lasting performance and a professional-quality paint finish.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surface is dry, clean, and free from dust, grease, oil, mildew, and loose material. New concrete must be cured for at least 28 days. Sand or brush off powdery residues.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or spray

Thinning:

May be used as is or thinned with up to ½ liter of clean water per 4L for highly absorbent surfaces

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 30 minutes
• Recoat or topcoat: 2–3 hours

Coverage:

30–35 square meters per 4L per coat, depending on surface porosity

Finish:

Flat / Non-reflective

Pack Sizes:

Available in 1L, 4L, and 16L

Color:

White (may be tinted with light colors as needed)

Safety & Clean-Up:

• Apply in well-ventilated areas
• Wash tools and spills with clean water before the primer dries
• Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours on exterior surfaces
