Overview

Davies® Mortaflex is a two-component cementitious waterproofing membrane designed to provide rigid yet flexible protection against water penetration on concrete and masonry surfaces. Engineered for positive and negative side waterproofing, this system combines a specially formulated cement-based powder and a high-performance liquid polymer that cures into a seamless, durable, and water-resistant coating.

Ideal for below-grade structures, roof decks, wet areas, and water-retaining systems, Davies® Mortaflex is the preferred solution for both residential and industrial applications requiring reliable, long-term waterproofing under tough conditions.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Clean the surface thoroughly. It must be sound, clean, and free from dust, grease, loose particles, or contaminants. Pre-wet the surface before application but avoid standing water.

Mixing Ratio:

Mix Component A (powder) and Component B (liquid polymer) in the specified ratio until a lump-free, homogenous mixture is achieved. Mix only what can be used within 30–45 minutes.

Application Methods:

Apply by brush, trowel, or spray in 2–3 coats. Ensure each coat is applied in a perpendicular direction to the previous one for complete coverage.

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 1–2 hours
• Recoat: 4–6 hours
• Full Cure: 7 days before water exposure or tiling

Coverage:

Approximately 6–7 square meters per set per 2 coats (depending on substrate roughness)

Finish:

Textured / Cement gray (accepts topcoat or tile finish)

Safety & Clean-Up:

• Wear protective gloves, mask, and goggles
• Wash tools with clean water immediately after use
• Mix only as much as needed to avoid product waste
