Davies® Pondo™ is a 100% acrylic water-based latex paint designed for economical yet durable protection of interior concrete, plaster, and masonry surfaces. With its smooth, matte finish and good coverage, Pondo™ is an ideal choice for cost-conscious residential, commercial, and maintenance painting projects.

This paint provides reliable adhesion, fade resistance, and easy workability, making it especially suitable for ceilings, wall interiors, and lightly exposed concrete surfaces. Its low odor, quick-drying formula ensures a safer and more convenient application process.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, mildew, or chalk. Newly applied concrete must be cured for at least 28 days. Neutralize high-alkali surfaces using Davies® Concrete Neutralizer DV 100-X.

Priming:

For porous surfaces, apply a compatible masonry primer or Pondo™ Flat White as basecoat.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or spray

Thinning:

Thin with clean water as needed (up to ½ liter per 4L for brush/roller; more for spray)

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 30 minutes
• Recoat: 2–3 hours

Coverage:

25–30 square meters per 4L per coat (depending on surface porosity)

Finish:

Flat / Matte

Color Availability:

White and selected colors via Davies Color It!™ tinting system

Topcoat Compatibility:

May be topcoated or used as is. For enhanced durability or decorative results, follow with:

• Apply in a well-ventilated area
• Clean brushes, rollers, and tools with clean water after use
• Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place
