Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure wood is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or old loose putty. Sand smooth if necessary.

Application Method:

Apply directly with a putty knife or spatula. Press firmly into gaps or imperfections and smooth out excess. Allow to dry before sanding or painting.

Drying Time:

  • Surface Dry: 2–4 hours
  • Recoat or Paint: 24 hours (depending on thickness and drying conditions)

Sanding & Topcoating:

Light sanding recommended once fully dry. For best results, apply Davies® Interior Wood Primer DV-1360 before finishing with enamel or alkyd topcoat.

Coverage:

Approximately 5–7 square meters per 1 kg (depending on depth of fill and surface texture)

Finish:

Matte putty (requires painting or sealing)
