Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surface is clean, dry, and free from rust, dirt, oil, mildew, and peeling paint. For GI sheets, remove rust by wire brushing and treat with rust converter if necessary. New GI sheets should be weathered or etched before painting. Concrete roofs must be waterproofed prior to application.

Priming:

Use Davies® Roofshield™ Metal Primer for bare or rusted metal. For concrete, apply appropriate waterproofing and primer systems as needed.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or spray

Thinning:

• Use as is or thin with up to ½ liter of clean water per 4L
• Adjust for spray application

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 30 minutes
• Recoat: 2–3 hours

Coverage:

25–30 square meters per 4L per coat (depending on surface and porosity)

Safety & Clean-Up:

• Apply in a well-ventilated area
• Clean tools with clean water immediately after use
