Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Clean surface thoroughly to remove rust, grease, dirt, and old paint. Use sandpaper, wire brush, or power tools for metal surfaces. Ensure the surface is dry and dust-free.

Priming (Optional):

For rust-prone metal, use Davies® Red Oxide Metal Primer for enhanced protection before topcoating with DV-470.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or spray

Thinning:

Use Davies® Paint Thinner if needed (5–10% for brushing; up to 15% for spraying)

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 1–2 hours
• Recoat: 6–8 hours
• Full Cure: 24 hours

Coverage:

Approximately 10–12 square meters per liter per coat (depending on surface texture)
