Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, wax, or old coatings. Sand for smoothness and to open the grain for better stain penetration.

Application Method:

Brush, rag, or sponge

Thinning (if needed):

Use Davies® Paint Thinner for viscosity adjustment (typically not required)

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 4–6 hours
• Recoat: 12–16 hours
• Full Cure: 48 hours

Coverage:

20–25 square meters per 4L per coat (depending on wood porosity and surface texture)

Finish:

Natural satin to low-sheen, depending on surface and number of coats

• Flammable – keep away from open flames
• Clean tools with Davies® Paint Thinner immediately after use
