Overview

Davies® Megacryl™ MCS Semi-Gloss is a premium-grade, acrylic water-based paint formulated to deliver excellent durability, smooth finish, and a subtle gloss sheen. Designed for both interior and exterior concrete walls, ceilings, drywall, cement board, masonry, and properly primed wood surfaces, this paint offers outstanding color retention, easy cleanability, and resistance to fading and chalking.

Its semi-gloss finish makes it ideal for areas that demand a balance between elegance and practicality — such as kitchens, hallways, and exterior facades where a slight sheen helps resist dirt and moisture.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, oil, grease, or peeling paint. New concrete must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days.

Priming:

Use a suitable primer such as Davies Megacryl Concrete Primer or Davies Aqua Primer for porous or previously unpainted surfaces.

Application Methods:

Brush, roller, or spray

Thinning:

• Brush/Roller: Use as is or thin with up to ½ liter of clean water per 4L of paint
• Spray: Thin with clean water as needed for spray consistency

Drying Time:

• Touch Dry: 30 minutes
• Recoat: 2–3 hours

Coverage:

35–40 square meters per 4L per coat, depending on surface texture and porosity
